Booth Ferris Foundation Gift Supports SLN Networks in New York City

August 15, 2010

Elizabeth Neale, Founder and CEO of School Leaders Network announced the receipt of a gift from The Booth Ferris Foundation for school years 10-11 and 11-12. This gift makes it possible to realize SLN’s strategic goal of establishing a Regional Program Director to oversee the five SLN Networks in New York City. These networks, comprised of K-12 public school principals across the boroughs, were established in 2006.

Dr. Neale said “Each year we see a deeper level of impact from our Network members on teacher efficacy and on student achievement.” For more details on SLN Principals’ schools outperforming non-SLN schools, please see the analysis of the NYC Progress Report for the school year 08-09, issued in December 2009.
