New D.C. Network launched with new SLN Regional Facilitator Errick Greene

October 24, 2013

School Leaders Network is excited about a new network launched in Washington, D.C. in partnership with Teach for America.  Under the guidance of our new Facilitator, Errick Greene, this Aspiring Principal network is made up of Teach for America alumni serving public, charter and private schools in the D.C. area.   They are developing their skills, understanding and leadership practice through a comprehensive research-based approach to school improvement. New learning is focused on actions they will take to improve outcomes for students. Their experience will make them more effective in their daily work and build their leadership competencies for future principal leadership roles.

Errick Greene comes to School Leaders Network with over 21 years in the education field.  Errick is an educational leader with experience managing school sites, developing policy and building strategic partnerships. He is skilled in creating and leading professional development experiences, data analysis, and enhancing organizational culture. Errick is currently a Managing Director at Insight Education Group, leading their school reform efforts in New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Georgia.  His work includes leading initiatives related to principal evaluation, educator effectiveness and Common Core implementation.  Errick’s leadership experience prior to joining Insight include serving as an Instructional Superintendent with the District of Columbia Public Schools and as Head of School at The Arts & Technology Academy, a public charter school in D.C.  He began his career as an elementary and middle school teacher in Baltimore and Inglewood, CA.  Errick is in his final push toward his Ed.D from University of Pennsylvania, and, as if he is not busy enough, he also sings with an a cappella outreach chorus.  Welcome Errick Greene and our newest DC Network!
