SLN and NLNS to Launch Networks in DC

The School Leaders Network has entered into a partnership with New Leaders for New Schools DC, a non-profit organization which trains school leaders to take the helm of challenging urban schools across the nation, to form three networks for principals in the Washington, DC area beginning fall 2009.
 
One network will be solely for charter school principals and will be funded by the New Schools Venture Fund. The two other networks will be a mix of principals from both charter and traditional public schools. Using the SLN approach new leaders will be supported in their school improvement efforts, increasing student achievement, building a school climate and culture for learning, and increasing teacher leadership and capacity.
